A special blend of herbs and spices hailing from Kansas City, USA. The barbecue capital of the world. We offer three different and unique flavors. Our original recipe, "Marion"  has a sweet savory taste. Our "Eleanor" presents a lemon pepper flavor! You will fall in love with its zesty taste. If you like some spice, then try our "Milton" blazing flavor. It will kick the heat up a notch while still having that delicious BBQ flavor.

 Because of its history as the home state of abolitionist John Brown and the site of fervent "free state" sentiments during the antebellum period, black southerners viewed Kansas as a place of refuge. Many African Americans believed that Kansas was a unique state where they would be allowed to freely exercise their rights as American citizens, gain true political freedom, and have the opportunity to achieve economic self-sufficiency. These romanticized ideas of Kansas, along with the continued deterioration of their lives in the South, produced a sudden exodus. This "Kansas Exodus," also referred to as the "Exoduster" movement, represents the first major episode in an extensive history of voluntary mass migration among African Americans. 

My great great grandfather Milton Jones was in the first 880. The birth of  Top City 1812 BBQ has a rich history rooted in family tradition. Our history of family and friends loving one another and celebrating life at a barbecue was passed down through the generations. Top City 1812 honors that Jones-Bryant family tradition by recognizing a legacy that was birthed by my great-great grandfather Milton Jones (born early 1800s) and his son, my great grandfather, Simon Jones, my grandfather Marion Jones, grandmother Eleanor, and my great aunt Maudlean.  We hope you will find that this barbecue sauce can become part of your family's tradition.  May God's blessing be on your seed for generations to come.
